The Palace is the second level of Painkiller's chapter 4.
Description[]
This level is set in a rather large palace. It is built in the Arabic style and contains a lot of oriental elements.
Monsters[]
This level is inhabited mostly by Arabian warriors and knights. They include:
- Arabian Warriors
- Templar Knights
- Bones
- Executioners
- Templar Demons - there are four of them at the end of the level and serve as minibosses.
Tarot card[]
The tarot card of this level is Vitality. To acquire it, the player has to finish the level without any armor. (Means that you also aren't allowed to pick up armor either).
Secret areas/pickups[]
Three armors can be found in this level:
- The first one (bronze) is in on top of the fountain-like sculpture inside the first building at the beginning.
- The second one (silver) is on top of some bricks to the left of the exit of the first building at the beginning.
- The third one (silver) is inside a small room in the second open area which contains some kind of stone bower and four shooting sculptures.

The second secret is located on top of the column in the second open area which contains some kind of stone bower and four shooting sculptures. It is reached by climbing onto arches by using a ladder to the left. Then try to jump from arches onto the roof of a bower and then onto that particular column. | Video |

The third secret is located on the ledge in the third open area. It is reached by jumping onto the platform to the left by using the trampoline. Then jump onto the wooden barrel and go to the ledge of the building you came in from. | Video |

The fourth secret is located inside closed room in Hagia Sophia building on the top floor (Last area). It is reached by killing all enemies, waiting for the portal to appear and backtracking into that room that was closed before. | Video |
