Valkyrie in Ragnarok.
Valkyrie with flaming sword in Ragnarok.
Valkyries are female enemies that appear in Ragnarok. Valkyrie resembles young woman with viking helmet, long cape, sword and shield. She also has tattoos all over her body which are more decorative than those that Viking Berserkers have. Even though she won't go into berserker rage she shouldn't be underestimated. She is a lot faster than her male counterparts and is able to protect herself well from bullets thanks to her shield. Later, on the small island outside the village, Valkyries now use flaming swords to fight, and by that dealing more damage to the player and are noticeable bigger.
- Valkyries almost always inflame when they are killed.
- In Norse mythology, a valkyrie (from Old Norse valkyrja "chooser of the slain") is one of a host of female figures who choose those who may die in battle and those who may live. Selecting among half of those who die in battle (the other half go to the goddess Freyja's afterlife field Fólkvangr), the valkyries bring their chosen to the afterlife hall of the slain, Valhalla, ruled over by the god Odin.
